'Love & Hip Hop' edits Mendeecees out of show?

It wasn’t long after fans were introduced to Yandy Smith’s boyfriend, Mendeecees Harris, on “Love & Hip Hop” that the reality star found himself embroiled in controversy as he was accused of sexually assaulting a minor and drug trafficking. And though earlier reports claimed that Harris would be erased from the series, he continued to be a central character to the show. But now, a new report claims that producers have finally decided to edit Harris out of the series once and for all.

As fans of the series know, “Love & Hip Hop,” was, surprisingly, missing from Monday night’s lineup. Although VH1 claims that Monday’s episode was pulled because of “scheduling” conflicts, Bossip is now reporting that VH1 pulled the episode because they are editing Harris out of season’s remaining episodes over his legal issues.

Despite Harris having recently been acquitted of the sexual assault charge, the report claims that show creator Mona Scott-Young and her team have caved to public complaints about Harris’ legal issues and will remove him from the show.

It’s unclear whether the rumor is true or not, but fans will know for sure in the coming weeks when the show returns to TV. If it is true, this won’t be the first time a star has been booted from a show. Check out some other famous firings below. –nicholas robinson
