Nicole Scherzinger Gets Black Actor Fired From 'X-Factor'

Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussy Cat Dolls was apparently uncomfortable with the thought of working alongside Corbin Bleu, 22, on the reality TV show “The X-Factor.”

According to reports by the Chicago Sun-Times, Scherzinger and Bleu were picked by Simon Cowell to be co-hosts of the show. However, Scherzinger dismissed Bleu on the first day they met. After Bleu introduced himself to Scherzinger, she stormed away and said Bleu was “Too young.”

Cowell fired Bleu and hired a white model, Steve Jones, to take his place. Bleu, who appeared in High School Musical, “Hannah Montana,” and released two albums, has a more extensive résumé than Jones, who is relatively unknown in the U.S.

“The X-Factor” will debut this fall and feature L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul, Cheryl Cole and Cowell as judges.
