Hollywood’s awards season is in full effect. Earlier this morning, The Academy announced the 2015 Oscar nominations honoring excellence in film.
Leading the pack are The Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman with nine nominations each, including Best Picture. Also nabbing a nomination in the Best Picture category is the highly acclaimed Selma, starring David Oyelowo, Oprah Winfrey and Carmen Ejogo. Golden Globe winners Common and John Legend could have much more to celebrate as they are also up for an Oscar for their original song “Glory.”
The 2015 Oscars, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will air live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. EST.
