Parks’ Mom Joins ‘VIBE’ Lawsuit
Phaedra Parks’ mother is obviously as serious about her reputation as her acclaimed attorney daughter as veidenced by the fact that she’s filling a lawsuit against a famed entertainment magazine. Regina Bell, the mother of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, has filed a suit against VIBE magazine’s VIBE Holdings for publishing the book Lies of a Real House Wife: Tell The Truth and Shame The Devil. Written by Parks’ former friend, Angela Stanton, the book accuses Parks and her husband, Apollo Nida, of being involved forgery, theft and racketeering and ultimately seducing her into their crime spree. As previously reported, Parks was unamused by the lawsuit and filed a $30 million lawsuit against the company; $5 million for compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages along with a demand for a retraction.
Now according to Park’s mother, she’s mentioned in the book as well for unwarranted reasons. TMZ reports that Bell is suing VIBE for $6 million in damages and demanding a retraction after being called a witch doctor with a penchant for abortion causing magic potions. Bell claims the book is causing her public humiliation through ridicule and hatred.
Bell is said to be a Georgia pastor with more than 33 years of experience.
