Terrence Howard’s ex-wife granted restraining order against the actor
The ex-wife of a famed actor is alleging that she’s endured years of domestic abuse and most recently a violent episode while on vacation. Michelle Ghent, the ex-wife of Terrence Howard, was granted a restraining order against the actor this week after appearing in court with a black eye and alleging that he “sucker punched” and kicked her during a fight in Costa Rica.
Ghent told a judge that Howard “punched” her in the face, “grabbed” her neck, threw her against a mirror and tried to choke her three times during a July 29 argument in a vacation rental home. The couple was reportedly trying to rekindle their romance.
Ghent also admitted that she pepper sprayed Howard after he “glared at her and looked toward the space next to the bed where he keeps two curved knives about 4-6 inches in length.”
After being sprayed, Howard reportedly knocked Ghent to the ground and kicked her in the head and shoulders.
Prior to these latest allegations, Ghent claimed that the Oscar nominated actor threatened to throw her off a balcony in South Africa and struck her numerous times.
Howard is no stranger to domestic abuse claims; in 2001 he was arrested after breaking down the door to his first wife’s home and punching her in the face.
