“Sister, Sister” star Tia Mowry-Hardrict has joined Fox’s new hit “Rosewood,” alongside Morris Chestnut, in a major recurring role. In the crime procedural starring Chestnut as a private Miami pathologist, Mowry will take on the role of Cassie, a previously homeless teenage lesbian who has worked her way up to owning a restaurant through drive and hard work, reports Deadline. The news follows just shortly after the freshman drama received a full-season order.

She is also Pippy’s (Gabrielle Dennis) childhood friend from a troubling and mysterious time in her past. It’s safe to say, Mowry’s role could definitely dredge up Pippy’s past. “The Game” alum is coming off a three-season run as the lead on the Nick at Nite comedy series “Instant Mom.”

This could be a good look for the 37-year-old, who hasn’t exactly landed a major role since her decision to walk away from her hit BET series “The Game.” Will you be watching?! Sound off in the comment section below.
