Wendy Williams has never been shy about her celebrity critiques, especially when it comes to female reality TV stars. Williams recently fired some napalm laced shots off at former “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada over her baby, calling her son a “cash register.”
During the Hot Topics segment of her show on Monday, Williams discussed Lozada giving birth to her son, Carl Leo Crawford, Jr., with baseball star Carl Crawford and claimed that the baby was Lozada’s way of getting part of Crawford’s gargantuan fortune.
“Evelyn gave birth to a cash register—I mean a baby boy,” Williams said. “I didn’t mean to make that cash register joke, but you see why it’s easy to be said.”
Indeed, it’s hard to overlook the fact that Crawford, who plays for the Dodgers, is worth $142 million. And in Williams’ eyes, Lozada needs to “take care of her cash register” and settle into the quiet life of a rich housewife.
“Here’s what I’m thinking Ev. You should become involved in a lot of charity work,” Wendy suggested. “And also talk to your man about opening up another Dolce—only Dolce Beverly Hills.”
Another thing that Williams said Lozada should change is her group of friends; i.e.,she should drop all of her “Basketball Wives” contacts.
“Lose the telephone numbers of all of those hating basketball wives who are going to hate on your situation. Now, I like Shaunie O’Neal, but I would even lose Shaunie’s number too,” Williams said.
Well, we’re sure Lozada won’t take Williams’ insulting words as a compliment. It’s certainly not the first time Williams has had offensive words to say about a star. Check out some of the beefs that have been started over Williams’ offensive comments below. – nicholas robinson
