Jay Z and Beyoncé have been dethroned as highest paid-celebrity couple…
Granted they’re not married and have only been together for a matter of months (which is usually as long as one of T. Swift’s relationships last… no shade) but nonetheless, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have raked in a whopping $146 million in the last year, crushing Jay Z and Beyoncé’s modest $110.5 million, reports Forbes.
Taylor’s last album, 1989, was the best-selling album of 2014 and according to Forbes, Calvin is the highest paid DJ in the world. Although we’d have to admit, we can’t name any of his work, he made headlines last year following a nasty split with his ex-girlfriend Rita Ora.
Aside from their lucrative music careers, the duo also seem to clean up with pretty big endorsements. Swift has Diet Coke, Keds and Sony, and Harris has Giorgio Armani and Sol Republic headphones. Not too shabby!
It’s no accident that the hot young couple is so stinking rich. T. Swift knows how to handle business. Taylor recently convinced Apple to reverse its policy on not paying artists royalties during the 90-day free trial.
Harris gushed over his girl’s accomplishment via Twitter: “I just played a gig inside a giant owl and my girl just changed the entire music industry what a day.”
Let’s just hope Harris can stay on Swift’s sunny side. After all, he wouldn’t want to end up the subject of her next big break-up hit. Can you say embarrassing?
