It’s the first video cut from If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and it doesn’t disappoint.
Friday was a big day for Drake. The hip-hop star released a new song with rising R&B group Majid Jordan called ‘My Love’ — the same group that was featured on Drake’s 2013 platinum hit, “Hold On We’re Going Home.”
In addition to releasing the new track, the 28-year-old appeared on Zane Lowe’s “Beats 1″show where he made a major announcement — the launch of his very own radio show, ‘OVO Sound,’ which will stream on Apple Music starting July 11 at 6 p.m.
Just in case that wasn’t enough for fans, Drizzy took it one step further by debuting his music video for the song ‘Energy’ from his unannounced February mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, and it’s wild to say the least.
In the video, Drake returns to his roots, acting, where he impersonates President Barack Obama, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, LeBron James, Oprah Winfrey and countless other celebrities. And while the Toronto native has already been slammed via social media for donning “whiteface” in the clip, we find it hilarious. In fact, it perfectly captures the true essence of Drake’s personality.
For snaps of Drake’s epic transformation into stars like Miley Cyrus, Mayor Ford and even O.J. Simpson, hit the flip. What do you think of Drake’s first video cut from If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late? Sound off in the comment section below.
