Nick Cannon confirms separation from Mariah Carey
With all of the rumors swirling around the status of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s marriage, the “America’s Got Talent” host sounded off on the allegations that the couple is headed for divorce.
During an interview with “The Insider,” Cannon said, “There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”
As for the twosome’s beautiful children, Cannon says that his focus right now is solely on 3-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan. He also dispelled any cheating rumors as the cause behind their split.
Yesterday, we reported that Cannon and Carey had separated due to Cannon’s inability to balance life, love and his infamous work ethic. According to TMZ, Carey’s deepest grievance with Cannon was that he would constantly take on projects, which result in him neglecting his obligations as a husband.
In July, the entertainment power couple sold the $7 million Bel-Air mega mansion they purchased in 2009, for a cool $10 million. Sources close to the couple claim that they have been living in separate houses in New York City since May. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
