Nicki Minaj sent the Internet into a frenzy on Monday when she released her new video for the Beyoncé-assisted single “Feeling Myself.” But it wasn’t just the powerhouse coupling of Bey and Nicki that had fans talking. It was also the growing rumor that Minaj dissed her labelmate, Tyga, in the video.

In the video, Minaj can be seen sporting a black sheer sweater that has the words “Pervert 17” stitched into the fabric with sequins. Many fans began to speculate that Minaj was taking a jab at Tyga, who has been swept up in public controversy over dating 17-year-old Kylie Jenner.

Minaj and Tyga certainly haven’t had a peaceful relationship over the past few months. Back in October 2014, Tyga told Vibe magazine that “Yeah, I’m tryna’ go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki Minaj.”

Minaj later told BBC Radio 1Xtra’s “Charlie Sloth Show” that Tyga also leaked a version of her hit “Truffle Butter” with himself on it and explained that she forbade him from doing it prior to the leak. However, Minaj claimed that Tyga spoke with her after his Vibe jab and that they squashed their beef.

“Then he said some stuff that I ain’t feel. But he texted me after and he apologized like, you always were there for me, and I respected him for saying that. Because one thing about me, I’m a very forgiving person because I feel like people, we’re human and we make mistakes. But as long as you can come to your senses after the fact and remember who looks out for you and who was there and who supports you,” Minaj said.

And although many think that Minaj has reignited her beef with Tyga, others believe the sweater was a simple fashion statement. Before the video’s release, the sweater was likely only known by fashion fans who recognized it as a Givenchy sweater made by the fashion house’s designer, Riccardo Tisci. And Tisci seems to have a liking for the number 17 because it’s popped up in several of his past clothing items and he even put it in his Instagram name.

Neither Minaj nor Tyga have yet to comment on the diss rumor, but we’re sure fans are going to keep talking about this, at least until the next beef rumor pops up in 15 minutes.
