Rick Ross is arrested by US Marshals for kidnapping a man

Rick Ross, ne William Leonard Roberts II, won’t see the streets of Atlanta until July 1, 2015. A Fayette County Judge has denied the rapper bond following Wednesday morning’s arrest related to a kidnapping. Rick Ross, 39, and his bodyguard Nadrian Lateef James, 42, are accused of kidnapping and pistol whipping Jonathan Zumidio on June 7. Zumidio, Ross’ groundskeeper, asserts he was beaten so badly with a Glock while staying in a guest house at Rick Ross’ mansion. Zumidio claims he lost two teeth, injured his neck and jaw, leaving him able to only eat soft foods and that he had multiple scratches and contusions.

According to WSB TV, Rick Ross was arrested overnight by the US Marshal’s Metro Atlanta Fugitive Task Force on outstanding warrants for aggravated assault.

Both men are charged with kidnapping and aggravated battery. Ross has an additional charge of aggravated assault. A judge denied Ross bond in court Wednesday morning.

Rick Ross purchased boxer Evander Holyfield’s former mansion in February 2014 for $5.8 million.
