Killer Mike and El-P have turned out to be hip-hop’s latest dynamic duo. Known as Run The Jewels, Killer Mike and El-P arguably released the best rap album of 2014 with RTJ 2.

Run The Jewels took their hardcore form of hip-hop to Coachella Valley Music Festival. From the opening song, “Run The Jewels,” the duo continued to add pressure during their hour-long performance which, at times, resembled the hyper energy of a heavy metal set.

The duo also had a few surprises up their sleeves by bringing out Travis Barker and Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo to assist. Overall, Run The Jewels brought to life powerful hip-hop that was similar to the glory days of Ice Cube and Public Enemy.
