Dr. Willie Davenport, 66, former principal of D.H. Stanton Elementary School died on Tuesday, Sep. 4, 2013 of cancer. Davenport is one of the 35 defendants in the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal. Davenport was facing criminal charges of racketeering and two counts of making false statements.
