“To be honest, we bump heads. Like, the personalities,” said Ochocinco. “”I haven’t made wedding plans. Right now, I’m still in the stage of trying to make sure we’re on the same page before we [take that step], you know?”
Besides bumping heads over personalities, Ochocinco admits that the couple also bumps heads over money — his money, to be exact.
“The thing is, I can’t even spend it, man. Don’t get engaged, man. Don’t get engaged,” said Ochocinco. “She done put a stop to all the spending and all the having fun, and I’m on a budget every month now, and it’s frustrating because that wild side and that fun Chad is going away. I’m so businesslike.”
Despite these relationship hurdles, Ochocinco is wholeheartedly intent on making his marriage with Lozada last.
“It has to work. There ain’t no going back. I done made that commitment, I done made that step,” he explained. “It’s like when I decided to play football. I made that commitment to play the game, and there would be ups and downs. … The same thing will go for her now. But, it ain’t no backpedaling. I don’t play DB [defensive back]. I play receiver, I go forward.”
