Ex-NFL star and former ESPN analyst Hugh Douglas has been arrested and charged with sexual assault. According to reports, a woman in Hartford, Conn. told police that Douglas attacked her in a hotel.

She claimed he choked her and slammed her into a wall several times. However, Douglas says he didn’t do it maliciously. He claims that he choked the woman while they were engaged in rough sex.

Douglas was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation. In the past two months, Douglas has dealt with several issues. In August, he was fired by ESPN after getting into a heated argument with co-host Michael Smith.

Reportedly, he called Smith “Uncle Tom” and “house n—–.”
