Trina pays tribute to Nicki Minaj at the 2013 BMI Awards
In addition to looking stunning on the red carpet at the 2013 BMI Hip Hop Awards, Trina took the stage to pay tribute to a fellow female rapper. During the ceremony held at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, Nicki Minaj was praised for her songwriting and took home awards for “Song of the Year” and “Songwriter of the Year.”
To mark the occasion, Trina was asked to pay tribute to the rapper and performed her hit “Moment For Life.”
And while some people are praising Trina whose been rapping for over a decade for being a good sport and celebrating the rapper, others are shaking their heads in disappointment.
“One question … would Nicki do a tribute to Trina?” wrote a Trina fan in the video’s comments section.
“I’m so embarrassed [for her]!” added another.
