Mary J. Blige's Burger King Chicken Ad Removed From Youtube

Mary J. Blige’s ad for Burger King’s crispy chicken tortilla has been pulled from Youtube reportedly for copyright issues, but it’s more than likely an attempt at damage control.

As previously reported, a number of people were outraged by the ad that showed the singer standing atop a table and singing about the new wrap that features crispy chicken, ranch and a flour tortilla.

In addition to Mary belting out notes about chicken, the ad featured patrons in the background dancing and raising the roof.

While some say the ad was harmless at best, others didn’t take kindly to it and found it stereotypical and offensive.

As of Tuesday, April 3, the ad is no longer available on Burger King’s official YouTube page and has been pulled from other video hosting sites as well.

Mary has yet to release a statement regarding the controversial ad.
