Rising rap star Travi$ Scott found himself in hot water with the gay community recently after he hurled a slew of homophobic comments during a tour stop. Now, after facing major criticism, Scott has apologized to the LGBT community for his rant.

The drama all began back in March when Scott was videotaped getting angry at the front row section of his Houston concert because they weren’t hyped enough to his liking. Scott proceeded to hurl homophobic insults like “f—-t” and “queer” at them to get them to throw some energy his way.

The video recently went viral and yesterday Scott decided to tell his fans via his Twitter page that he’s sorry for the comments that he made and that he’s not homophobic.

We don’t think that Scott fully understands the simple definition of homophobia because saying and doing homophobic things makes you homophobic whether you’re aware of your own hang ups or not. But at least he had the sense to apologize for making a mistake.
