‘Sip & Shop’ at Emerlyn & Ester Boutique Raises Funds for Nonprofit

'Sip & Shop' at Emerlyn & Ester Boutique Raises Funds for Nonprofit
Emerlyn & Ester Boutique owner, Monyetta Shaw

The other day, I headed over to Emerlyn & Ester Boutique in Buckhead to check out their private “Sip & Shop” event. Lots of people gathered to look at the latest collections, sip champagne, try on their favorite outfits, and, of course, shop! Although this was an entertaining event, we were shopping with purpose.

A percentage of the evening’s sales helped benefit Grow Kids, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides safe and happy spaces and green places where kids of all ages can learn and grow. It was a fabulous event and owner Monyetta Shaw looked amazing after just giving birth a few months ago. It was rumored that she was expecting again with R&B singer Ne-Yo, but she smiled and said she is still enjoying her new baby girl. She added that maybe there will be a second baby at a later time, but not now.

At the event, there was an autographed leather jacket that Ne-Yo donated as well as other special items, like some fab-looking Mary J. Blige sunglasses from her Melodies line. Since the grand opening a few months ago, Shaw has added so many gorgeous collections. The new assortment of shoes were haute, and I loved so many of the dresses, blouses and accessories.

If you are in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, stop in and check out this wonderful boutique. –tammie reed
