George Zimmerman will face criminal charges in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin according to a law enforcement official close to the case.
The Washington Post has confirmed that the 28-year-old will be brought up on charges as early as Wednesday afternoon.
Angela Corey, the special prosecutor assigned to the case, previously confirmed that she’d hold a press conference within 72 hours announcing her decision.
It is not immediately clear what charges Zimmerman might face.
Corey’s conference will take place in either Sanford, Florida where Trayvon died, or Jacksonville, Florida.
