President & GM, Simon Sign Systems
Studies have shown that most individuals respond better to displays
that are eye-catching. With that in mind, Simon Robinson, president and
general manager of Simon Sign Systems, put himself in a position of
power where losing someone’s attention isn’t an option.
As the company chosen to manufacture all of the signs used at the 2007
Atlanta Regional Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week luncheon,
Robinson’s entrepreneurial success with Simon Sign Systems is something
you can really see.
“I think it empowers us to not only help ourselves, but to help our
own, in essence African Americans. [Simon Sign Systems] actually
promotes and underwrites events that are in the community. We’re
actually hiring and working with the Atlanta Technical Institute right
now to promote entrepreneurship and to promote the hiring of our own
people in our own communities,” explains Robinson.
A company that prides itself on being a reliable provider of signs and
banners for companies and organizations, in its 18 years of business,
Simon Sign Systems has rendered its services to several Fortune 500
companies, including IBM and Anheuser-Busch.
Robinson’s forthright interaction with clients and formidable work
ethic have allowed him and his company to build a strong reputation in
the Atlanta market. And in the process, he created a glorious path for
others to follow. “Find your passion, because the sooner you find your
passion, the better off you’re going to be, and then stay true to
yourself,” says Robinson. – jason thompson
