African American Lives” returns to PBS with all new guests. The first edition traced the lineage of celebrities like media mogul and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey, televangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes and actor-comedian Chris Tucker. The sequel, “African American Lives 2” features guests liked renowned author Maya Angelou, Oscar Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman, radio personality Tom Joyner and soul diva Tina Turner. In addition, college administrator Kathleen Henderson was selected from more than 2,000 applicants to have her family history researched and DNA tested. Professor Henry Louis “Skip” Gates returns as the serie’s host and co-executive producer. It airs Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 9-11 p.m. (ET) on PBS. -yvette caslin
