New Yorker Rob (Omarion Grandberry), is an aspiring rap artist who’s trying to make his mark in the music industry. After barely escaping an attack by local thugs, he goes to live with his estranged father in Puerto Rico. There, Rob discovers reggaeton, a spicy blend of hip-hop, reggae and Latin beats. The rhythm connects Rob and his half-brother Javi (Victor Rasuk) as their musical styles grow into something quite special. Things get hot when Rob falls for dancer C.C. (Zulay Henao of Illegal Tender), and the trio realizes that they must stick together if they’re to achieve their dreams. Puerto Rico and New York unite as Rob leads a reggaeton performance at New York’s infamous Puerto Rican Day Parade. Feel the Noise manages to survive on mediocre acting and an interesting story; however, stronger directing and editing would’ve made this a hit. -michelle williams
