Talk show sensation Dr. RJ Stevens (Martin Lawrence) has it all. The self-help guru has made millions with his “Team of Me” brand and is set to marry a gorgeous reality-TV star. But he receives a humbling awakening when he returns to his hometown of Dry Springs, Ga., to celebrate his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. During his visit, his cousin Clyde (Cedric the Entertainer) lures him into a fierce competition; he gets swindled by cousin Reggie (Mike Epps); and takes a few jabs from cousin Betty (Mo’Nique). RJ eventually takes a hard look at his life and begins to understand the importance of never forgetting his roots.
