Super cars can motivate a 5-foot tall man to walk with the swagger of a 7-foot tall world champion. This year, manufacturers of exotic cars have produced vehicles with even more speed and power. Here are three super cars that made the grade in 2008. –amir shaw

If you’re looking to own a super car without having to empty several bank accounts, the 2008 Audi R8 affords you a sporty look without financially leaving the stratosphere. The steel frame covered with an aluminum exterior reinforces its futuristic appearance. Audi has once again proven that it belongs in the elite class.

The 2008 Aston Martin V-8 Vantage’s sleek exterior and relentless power allows drivers a James Bond-like experience — minus the saving the world from evil villains part. With the newly added Sportshift system, the driver can shift modes by selecting buttons on the center console. The Sportshift produces 7,000 rpm and takes full advantage of the 4.3 liter, 32-valve V-8 engine.
