At Last: Michelle Obama Steps Out in Style

altThe world is buzzing about First Lady Michelle Obama who looked
feminine and glamorous in her day and evening inauguration wear. During
the swearing-in ceremony and inaugural parade, she wore a pale
green-gold hued embroidered dress with a bejeweled brooch and a
matching coat by Isabel Toledo, olive green gloves by J. Crew, and
green patent leather Jimmy Choo shoes with a kitten heel. Toledo is a
Cuban American, New York-based designer whose collection is available
at Barneys New York.

With her evening
wear, she took the stage wearing a white chiffon gown with a strap
across her right shoulder, and fluffy appliqués adorning the trailing
skirt. She dazzled the crowd in this delicate number designed by
Tiapei-born designer Jason Wu, 26, when she and President Barack Obama
did their first dance to “At Last,” sung by Beyoncé at the Neighborhood
Ball. The gown has been requested by the Smithsonian for the First
Ladies Collection.
