1. Drug abuse. Anyone addicted to narcotics obviously cuts their lifespan short, but oftentimes stars take their drug usage much further — possibly because they have greater access to prescription and non-prescription drugs and their celebrity lifestyles embrace the drug culture.
2. Wild behavior. Fame can be overwhelming for some people and life in the fast lane can end up with some stars hitting a dead end, pun intended.
3. Bad company. They say that bad communications corrupts good manners. If star entertainers consistently hang out with wild, irresponsible people who exercise poor judgment, they will eventually do the same.
4. Financial Troubles. We’re not talking about a missed mortgage payment or a few thousand dollars of debt, here. We’re talking serious financial issues. A lot of times such financial stress leads to other issues, like drug and alcohol abuse, which of course, is never good.
5. Scandal. Sexual indiscretions, crimes of passion, and anything that paints celebrities in a negative light is never good and can again, lead to drug abuse, or in some extreme cases — suicide and/or homicide.
Death comes unexpectedly for a lot of people, but there are some things that can pretty much ensure a tragic ending. Here’s hoping we don’t lose any more beloved stars too soon. –jh
