Ginuwine Returns With New Album
Ginuwine has been back in the lab and will drop his new album, A Man’s Thoughts, this May. The singer says that the time off was spent being a father to his little girls, and his new perspective is evident in the maturity of his sound. “After Back to the Basics I was really at home with my kids,” he says of his hiatus. “I felt like that’s where I needed to be at that point. You don’t get those days back, the first days of school, the little recitals–so I wanted to do what a father is supposed to do and that was take care of my daughters.” His new project will feature work from Johnta Austin, the Clutch and his longtime friend/collaborator, Timbaland. His first single, “Last Chance,” dropped earlier this week and is produced by Bryan-Michael Cox.
Eminem Tops iTunes Charts
Eminem’s new single “Crack a Bottle” featuring Dr. Dre and 50 Cent has topped the iTunes charts. The song was leaked illegally back in December, and to the chagrin of the Detroit rapper, that didn’t stop fans from clamoring to purchase the song. Em’s album, Relapse is scheduled to hit stores this spring.
Eve’s Album Will Finally Hit Shelves This Spring
After being shelved for two years, Eve’s new album will finally be out in late spring or early summer, this time on Geffen Records. The album, originally titled Here I Am, will now be called Flirt. “Unfortunately I am caught up in a whole music label situation,” Eve told the New York Post. “The album is finally going to come out this spring or summer. But with all the time that passed, we went back in and reworked the whole thing. I am truly, truly sitting on some amazing music. Nobody’s been waiting longer than me to get this monkey off my back!”
