VH-1 has done it again. Just when you thought they had finally
scraped the bottom of the creative barrel, they’ve managed to surprise even me.
This time, they’ve enlisted the help of Eddie Griffin for the show, “Eddie
Griffin Going For Broke.” The title is a bit misleading, as Griffin is apparently already broke, thanks
to a few unfortunate financial decisions, as well as eight kids by four
different women. But in an attempt to publicly get his financial life back
together, Griffin
manages to reinforce many of the negative stereotypes already in play
concerning black men. I classify this as “must-miss” TV. –dewayne rogers
