Rumors are swirling in the blogosphere about Fantasia drawing from the wrong well and getting sued for infidelity. She stands to face a multimillion lawsuit by the scorned wife of her alleged boyfriend, Antwuan Cooke, for criminal conversion, or having a sexual relationship with a married man.
The “When I See U” singer had been accused of the affair several months ago, which was confirmed by a very conspicuous tatoo of the philanderer’s name on her chest, but she denied it. There were also several photos circulating of the pair, as recently as a few weeks ago, which placed them in Barbados. Looks like she’s in a slight pickle, now.
The tattoo has morphed into a blob of black ink, but the photographic evidence of it is all over the Web. Nice try, but …
The criminal conversion law is only in effect in seven states: North Carolina, Illinois, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, South Dakota and Utah; looks like the North Carolina native hit the jackpot!
The precedent for such a suit doesn’t look to good for Fannie, who almost lost her house last year. North Carolina courts have logged pretty large judgments against guilty mistresses, one to the tune of $1.4 million.
There is one catch, though. In order to win the suit, the wife would have to prove that she was validly married and that her husband had sex with the accused. It’s doubtful ‘Tasia would submit to any vaginal testing. –gerald radford
