In celebration of Black History Month, syndicated radio personality, comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey made some very lovely ladies’ day at Kmart’s Share the Word event. Hundreds of ladies, and quite a few men, showed up at an Atlanta Kmart store to meet the dapper best-selling author. Harvey was there to promote relationship wellness by lending advice and providing his personal insight about men, women and relationships, according to the release. 
The Share the Word program was one of the retailer’s BHM activities to engage black women and celebrate their inner and outer beauty. “We want this year’s Share the Word program to speak to individual beauty and uniqueness,” said Mark Snyder, chief marketing officer, Kmart. “Throughout the month, people can visit their local Kmart store or interact on our social networking channels to learn about our commitment to the needs and interests of our customers.”
The event culminated with raffle of large gift baskets loaded with beauty products as well as a book signing of Harvey’s Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. –yvette caslin
