Juvenile, the maker of hits such as “Back That A** Up”, “Nolia Clap”, “400 Degreez”, and “Slow Motion” presents us with his ninth studio album entitled Beast Mode. The album wastes no time getting down to the nitty gritty with a song entitled “Go Hard or Go Home” which demands for club goers to either drink, drop, and get on the dance floor, or vacate the premises. Following that song is his current single, “Drop That Azz”, which needs no further description. The album features Cape, Juve Jr., and Verse Simmons. Overall, the album is sub-par. The devout Juve fans will roll with it, but it’s likely that it will grow old very quickly due to it’s cliche smoke, trap, and f**k format. The absence of hot, outstanding singles and features is prevalent. But if I were to pick the next single I’d have to pick “P**** KAT”, ’cause it will go over well in the strip clubs, and the dance clubs … well, maybe. Fans would have loved to get a taste of the Hot Boyz reunion on this album as well. Hopefully the Cash Money reunion puts Juve in the beast mode we remember from all of his chart-topping hits.
