LeBron's Business Manager Makes Another Foolish Decision; Maverick Carter Sued for False Imprisonment

LeBron James should consider hiring another business manager to handle his lucrative brand. Marverick Carter, the same business manager who advised James to do the one-hour “The Decision” special, is now being sued for false imprisonment.

According to reports, 19-year-old Vaneisha Robinson is accusing Carter of holding her against her will. Robinson made headlines after claiming that she bought a diamond-encrusted LeBron James pendant for $5. After learning the pendant was appraised for $10,000, Robinson told news reporters that she would try to sell it on eBay.

Carter saw the news report and invited Robinson to a home in Akron, Ohio, and told her that James would be there to meet her. But when Robinson arrived at the home, Carter and nine other people surrounded her and forced to give up the pendant. Robinson is suing Carter for $500,000.

Carter, James’ childhood friend, has been accused of being a spendthrift and making poor business decisions on James’ behalf.

By not going to law enforcement to resolve a situation involving a $10,000 pendant, it proves, once again, that James made a foolish decision by hiring Carter as his business manager. a.r.
