Home Depot Wins With 'Girls Night Out'

There was an unusual energy permeating throughout The Home Depot located in Atlanta’s Cascade district on Friday night. Instead of the usual suspects who traditionally frequent the store (contractors, dads and granddads), the premises was filled with a noticeably high level of estrogen. This was largely a result of Home Depot hosting a “Girls Night Out” event where women of the community were invited in to become empowered and learn how to take their home improvement needs into their own hands.

The results of this endeavor were off the charts as area women piled into the store to receive much-needed home improvement instruction, gift certificates and other cool prizes. Not only was this a time of empowerment, but it also served as a nice way for women to bond with their sisters-in-arms.

“I’m really glad Home Depot decided to have this event,” shared one patron as she picked up a power drill to learn its features. “While I enjoy the fact that my husband is handy with tools, I don’t want to always have to depend on him. Being able to come in here and learn with other women has been a lot of fun.”

More “Girls Night Out” events are on the horizon, but you have to log on to www.homeimproverclub.com to get more details.
