What unique fashions can be found at 1414 Madison Avenue?
Our magazine clutches with satin lining are always a big hit. Our jewelry collection is rich and full of multi finger rings, feathers, crystals and even some recycled elements. Our custom corsets are now in production and are guaranteed to be a popular favorite amongst our glamorous clientele.
When you get compliments on your clothes, do you share where you’ve found them?
Sometimes some things were meant to be kept secret, and other times I like to support fellow business owners.
What are the big-ticket items in your wardrobe that are a necessity?
Shoes and bags. Comfort and durability are key.
If rolling out raided your closet, what would we find?
One of the most diverse closets you have ever seen. It’s a playland of great modern choices and beautiful designer finds. I think my dress collection is outstanding. I’m a sucker for gowns.
How do you keep your boutique relevant to the trends and changes in society?
I’m a fashion junkie and I am very fortunate that I’m able to travel so I see a lot of different trends from all over. I read a lot of magazines, attend fashion shows and I live by June Ambrose. I like to think of myself as a trendsetter.
What motivates you about this business?
It changes every day. I never wanted to live life going through the same mundane routine. I love giving women the opportunity to feel sexy and glamorous every day, and not just on special occasions.
What tips would you give to an aspiring entrepreneur?
Have fun, be yourself, and make it your own. Once you light the fire, do not let it burn out.
