Do you have any other websites?
Yes, my concierge site can be found at www.theatlgotogirl.com my wedding site at www.bridalpaloozatours.com and my nonprofit site at www.atlantamom.org.
Why is your site important?
I chose these subjects for busy professionals who want to stay up to date with the social scene but don’t have the time due to career obligations.
Is your site profitable? If not, why do you blog? If so, can you give advice to new bloggers on generating income from their blogs?
Our ROI [return on investment] comes from readers who crave more information on our specific recommendations and become paid members of our concierge services. Bloggers can generate income on their blogs by creating relevant ad space for brands on the blog, posting sponsored content from an advertiser, creating original works of art that offer unlimited downloads for a small fee, be the expert in your specific field and host a workshop and or conference through your blog; be creative and know your worth!
How do readers respond to you? How many readers do you get to your blog per day?
My readers are fantastic! They feel I am relatable due to my previous corporate background. Readers feel comfortable responding to my post by Facebook, Twitter and direct comment through the blog which makes for great conversation. Readers generally vibe off the platform that is created for them … so naturally if you write in a negative or condescending tone, you are likely to get responses that mirror your output. The Atlanta Go To Girl [blog] averages about 1,400 readers a day.
Is connecting to other bloggers important?
Connecting to other bloggers is extremely important. They have an entire network of people you may or may not know anything about you. Don’t be superficial … be genuine, build rapport with other bloggers, comment on posts that they’ve written and perhaps re-tweet information that they disseminate on their blog or social media platforms to your audience, [and] they will likely return the favor.
What role does Twitter play in your life? Facebook? LinkedIn?
Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn are very important to the growth of my blog and my concierge business, and are equivalent to a commercial or billboard as it pertains to free marketing. I use these platforms daily.
What other social media do you utilize?
I love YouTube. YouTube allows your audience to see you live and doing what you love best.
Do you consider yourself a journalist?
I do not consider myself a journalist, I consider myself a curator of current events and social happenings in and around Atlanta.
What do you do when you are not blogging?
When I’m not blogging, I’m operating The Atlanta Go To Girl concierge and spending time with my two beautiful children and husband.

I can’t live with my My Touch 4G cell phone because when I want to recommend a tasty restaurant, take a fascinating picture or just rant about my day, I can blog quickly from my phone and get the message out to my readers.
