The saga continues as another blow was struck yesterday against Mary Shackelford when Steve Harvey took to his nationally syndicated radio show to vent about the ongoing battle between he and his ex.
“The part that’s hurtful in this is my wife and children had to be drugged [sic] into this,” explained Harvey on-air. “If you’re going to be vindictive go ahead and aim it at me, but my son is coming in the room crying and that’s also her son, so why would you do this?”
Reportedly, Steve was supposed to refrain from personally responding to Shackelford’s accusations to avoid being held in contempt of the court’s gag orders for both of them.
Steve wasn’t the only one firing back at Shackelford. According to a report from Black Voices, the current Mrs. Harvey, Marjorie, is filing a defamation lawsuit against Shackelford.
In a statement released by Marjorie’s attorney, Marjorie had this to say on the subject:
“As a wife and a mother, I cannot stand back and allow the defamation of my character or actions that will malign my family. So, I will do what I need to do to the greatest extent of the law.”
Marjorie added that “the posting is nothing more than a sad attempt by Mary to make herself relevant in the eyes of the media.”
In her now infamous YouTube videos, Shackelford alleges that Steve was a serial cheater who left her penniless for his current wife, and then turned their teenage son, Wynton, against her.
