Halle Berry Strong-Arms Ex With Bad Press; Gabriel Aubry Drops Custody Case

alt

In a strange turn of events, Gabriel Aubry has apparently decided to end his bitter battle with ex-girlfriend Halle Berry and strike a truce. The supermodel has filed motions to end his attempt to gain custody of the former couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Nahla, and dismiss his request for child support from Berry. Looks like all the negative press about him possibly forced his hand.

According to radaronline.com, Aubry filed the motions on Wednesday and Berry and her legal team were in court yesterday finalizing the motions.

The truce, as told by an insider close to the situation, came about after the couple realized that things were getting out of hand between them and they decided to try to patch things up.

“Gabriel and Halle have spoken to each other and have committed to try and make things work, without the courts — Gabe’s decision to drop his case is his way of showing Halle he’s prepared to take a leap of faith and trust her once again.”

For Berry’s part in the truce, the actress is reportedly making her leap of faith by allowing Aubry to visit their daughter again.

“It seems that Halle is going to be making it easier for Gabriel to spend time with Nahla, which has been a sticking point between the two up ’til now,” said the source. “Hopefully, this is the start of the two of them being able to form some kind of workable co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughter.”

Do you think Aubry and Berry made the right decision? Is this really the end of their dramatic battle? –nicholas robinson
