While the media was abuzz about the little white dress Lindsay Lohan wore to court on the West Coast, true fashionistas and celebs were either donning or admiring the fabulous new collection of red dresses showcased at The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection Fashion Show, which kicked off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Cable TV and radio personality Gayle King, Rapper Eve, actresses Garcelle Beauvais and Taraji P. Henson, Laila Ali, and legendary singer Patti LaBelle, among others, strutted down the catwalk at Lincoln Center in a red dress created by a top designer to celebrate the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness and to inspire women to take action to protect their heart health. —yvette caslin
