Drake Responds to Rumors About Leaving Young Money

After months of rumors that Drake has been feuding behind the scenes with his Young Money bosses Lil Wayne and Baby, the Canadian rap star addressed the speculation at a recent tour stop on Wayne’s “I Am Music II Tour,” claiming he’s a Young Money artist for life.

According to hiphopwired.com, on April Fools’ Day, a story surfaced that Drake was asked to leave his record label after a dispute with Wayne over unpaid royalties. After Drake got wind of the story, he quickly dispelled the rumor during a performance with Wayne at Washington D.C.’s Verizon Center on April 3.

“You see today, when I landed in D.C. and I got off the plane, this n—- looked me in my eyes and he asked me, ‘Did you drop out of Young Money?’And I looked him right back in his eyes and I said, ‘Boy, are you out your m———–‘ mind?!’ Man, I want this s— ‘Forever!” explained Drake before performing his hit song “Forever.”

Drake is currently working on his as yet untitled sophomore album for Young Money Records.
