Nick Cannon Says He’s More Than Ready to Be a Dad

After nine long months, Mariah Carey’s highly-publicized pregnancy will come to an end soon and no one is more excited than the legendary singer’s husband, Nick Cannon, who says that he’s impatiently waiting to be a father to the couple’s expected twins.

Cannon gushed about his excitement during an interview with hollyscoop.com at the Reality Rocks Expo on Saturday, April 9, explaining that he’s ready to embrace to take on the title of father for his twins.

“I’m very ready for fatherhood, I gotta be. It’s any day now,” said Cannon.

Although Cannon and Carey have picked out names for their mixed gender twins, the couple is keeping mum to the press  about it, even refusing to reveal the names to close family members.

“… I haven’t even told my Mama yet,” quipped Cannon, when asked about the names.

Cannon also revealed that Carey hopes to spend more time with her busy husband after the twins are born.

“[She wants] me. She’s tired of me working and running all over the place. She just wants me to be there,” explained Cannon.

Indeed, Cannon has been quite busy promoting a slew of new endeavors, including his new MTV show, “Son of a Gun,” which he produces. Cannon is also busy working on a syndicated weekly radio countdown show and website for CBS called “Cannon’s Countdown” and cannonscountdown.com, respectively.

When asked if he’d ever collaborate with his singing wife, Cannon, who’s released a self-titled album and several singles over the years, explained that it’s unlikely that the two will ever hit the studio together.

“I’m not worthy to be in the studio with Mariah Carey,” said Cannon.
