Iconic West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg has found success in various arenas, now he’s collaborating with celebrity friend David Beckham on a children’s clothing line.
According to mirror.co.uk, the fashion line is Snoop’s brainchild, a venture that he’s excited about as well his friend’s latest expected child with wife and fellow fashion designer, Victoria.
“I’d love to do a Babygro range and baby house shoes with Beckham. “It’s going to be fly. It’s great news they are having a baby,” said Snoop.
Snoop has already begun sketching out ideas for the line, which he’ll present to his British buddy for further development while overseas for three shows in July.
The odd fashion duo became friends back in 2008 after the LA Galaxy soccer star made a guest appearance on Snoop’s short-lived E! reality show “Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood.”
Since then, the two have become very close, with Snoop explaining that Beckham has not only become an integral part of his personal life, but his music as well.
“Whenever I make a record I give him a copy before it’s done. He’s like a brother. I’m gonna show him to rap, for shizzle. He’s my boy. I love soccer just as he loves hip-hop. Beckham needs to keep doing what he’s doing, he’s a great father.”
And if sharing in music and fashion wasn’t enough, the two also share in the joy of fatherhood, with Snoop citing his music as the reason for the Beckham’s new child.
“I said that after their 11th anniversary they should have some more kids and romance to some Snoop tunes,” the rapper explains. “Now he’s having a beautiful girl to play with my daughter, Chocolate.”
