From the moment you hear CoCo (Cheryl Clemons), Taj (Tamara Johnson-George) and Lelee’s (Leanne Lyons) voices in the song, you get caught up in that beloved 90’s R&B sound mixed with the old school Ashford and Simpson call and response style of singing. Chris Brown starts his verse from the original version, then CoCo gives the song a little flavor and croons her response. There are no specific details to plans, however based on the demand of fans, the remix to the song is reportedly just a taste of what fans can possibly expect to see live on stage at a major upcoming award show later this month. Hmm, that actually wouldn’t be a bad idea. And if they do perform the remix, I wonder what award show will have these four powerful talents grace the stage all at once? I guess we will just have to wait and see. More news on SWV: Singersroom.com recently reported that they also are in development to star in their very own documentary series that will highlight their previous success, their breakup, return to music, the rebuilding of their relationships, as well as their desire to inspire other women to follow their dreams. I absolutely love it!
Anyway, keep a look out for the lovely ladies of SWV as they are currently touring and preparing for the release of their fourth album and follow up to their 1992 debut ‘Its About Time’ with ‘It’s About Time: All Over Again.’ And on that note, yes my sisters, I must say I agree that it is indeed “about that time” …again.
