Mary J. Blige-Nicki Minaj song leaked?
A track from Mary J. Blige and Nicki Minaj called “Feel Inside” was leaked online June 22. And although fans believed that the track would appear on Blige’s upcoming 10th album, My Life 2: The Journey Continues, an insider is now claiming that the track is fake.
According to Billboard’s The Juice, a source close to Blige said that the song is an unofficial mashup of two in-progress tracks that Minaj and Blige are working on separately. However, the source also claims that the two are in fact working on a completely different song together.
The song itself samples Wu-Tang Clan’s 1997 classic, ‘Triumph,” and finds Blige and Minaj trading bitter lyrics about their unappreciative lovers.
“But peace of my mind is what I don’t got/ You make a girl hit up the dope spot/White line, it’s a thin line/Prenup, been signed/ So quit playing, bench time,” raps Minaj, before Blige sings, “Wasting so much time disagreeing/ See I’m to the point where I don’t know what I believe in… I’m feeling really bad, feeling kind of low, think it’s time to go.”
Although the leak is fake, it’s nice to get a free preview of what’s to come from Blige and Minaj’s collaboration. –nicholas robinson
