Are you a bit nervous about hosting the awards ceremony?

I’m not nervous. I’m more excited than anything. I’m happy to be in the position that I am in to have the opportunity to grace the stage. It’s a blessing and a dream.

What did you do when you first discovered that you would be hosting?

I was shocked, but I wanted to make sure no one was playing a trick on me. Because I was going to punch someone in the face if they were playing with me. I called family and friends and told them. Then, I got drunk.

Will Chocolate Drop be making an appearance at the awards?

Chocolate Drop is the best rapper out right now. But he’s in Paris at Fashion Week. If he was here, I would tell him to drop some bars. His album will be dropping in the fall. It’s going to have three songs on it. The songs are “Kiss You When I’m Not Looking,” “Head Banger B***h” and “My Luggage Used To Be Yours.” Watch out for that when it drops.
