The Ellis Hotel Throws Girls' Night Out; Blogger Tami Attends Posh Events

I was invited out to a fab Girls’ Night Out with other writers and bloggers at the gorgeous Ellis Hotel on Friday, June 24. I have been to the hotel for a party or two, but never have stayed overnight. I was very eager to check it all out!

When I arrived, I noticed that they had changed the whole feel of the lobby. It had a new swankiness to it. The hotel was built in 1913 with over 120 rooms. At the posh hotel, they also have an all-women floor, and it’s secure for ladies who travel by themselves. In the suites, they have all kinda girly items like sleep masks, fluffy robes, Spanx Slimcognito hosiery and more!

I loved the white drapes and quilted headboard. The bed was very soft, and it was pillow-top, of course. I had a nice gift on my bed which was a nightshirt, slippers, bottle of wine and matching wine tote with a welcome note. How cute!

We, then, had a welcome reception and speciality sangrias to celebrate. Later, all of us gathered at the Terrace on Peachtree farm-to-table restaurant inside the hotel. Chef Jon Wolf, who has been cooking up great meals for over eight years, introduced himself as we munched on assorted small plates he prepared.

It was getting late, and I knew we had another full day of spa treatments, a trip to the farmers market, plus a family-style lunch, so I wanted to rest up. I made my way to my room for a hot shower and relaxed. I would like to thank Patricia Tinsley and the staff at The Ellis Hotel for inviting me out to the girls’ night. It was a night to remember. –tammie reed
