The premiere of “The Game” in January scored record ratings while outshining other more highly publicized shows like FX’s “Lights Out” and ABC’s “Off The Map.” With the triumphant comeback of a show that fans could not literally get enough of, the network successfully answered to critical claims that it was not being active enough in developing original scripted series and only centered on “music videos and reality shows.” Earlier this year BET also debuted “Lets Stay Together,” and is set to air a new series, “Reed Between the Lines” starring Malcolm-Jamal Warner from the iconic ‘Cosby Show’ and Tracee Ellis Ross who starred in the popular show ‘Girlfriends.’ The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will air live, September 18 on FOX. So do you think BET’s “The Game” deserves an Emmy…or two?
