Derek Luke exemplifies what it means to be a Renaissance man. He continues to build on his impressive body of work and is currently featured as Dr. Miles Bourdet on TNT’s hit show “HawthoRNe.” He also will portray the comic book character, “Gabe Jones,” in the film adaptation of Marvel’s Captain American.
Luke brought his unique style and appeal to a Los Angeles-based set for rolling out‘s exclusive photo shoot. He shared his style secrets during the vintage-theme cover shoot that recalled Harlem fashion from the 1940s.
“I think about how different I can be when it comes to style. I’m not subjected to one particular style.You are as current as your process. Similar to your heart, you are connected to everything you do. The process of looking my best is looking around and going opposite of what everyone else is wearing. I try to express myself so that I don’t feel contaminated by rules.”
