Amy Winehouse Found Dead in London Apartment *Autopsy Update*

Update: preliminary autopsy results are in for Amy Winehouse.  Early toxicology reports came back inconclusive regarding what killed the troubled singer.  Additional tests will need to be conducted to determine her cause of death.  So, for fans and onlookers waiting for answers, there are none to be had at this time.

According to multiple reports, award-winning singer Amy Winehouse, 27, has died.  The “Rehab” singer was reportedly found deceased in her apartment in London.

CNN reports: A press release from the Metropolitan Police, which doesn’t specifically name Winehouse, says:


“Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

“On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Inquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.”

Amy Winehouse — a five-time Grammy winner — is just as famous for her battle with drugs as she is for her incredible talent.  Despite her struggles, she’s received accolades from many entertainers, including a personal endorsement by Prince.

Winehouse has been in and out of rehabilitation centers over the past few years and had several public scuffles with her then husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who has also battled drug addiction.
